This story takes off where book one ended. This book contains more drama. But I loved it. I totally like the alpha male that Zane and still his love for V gives him a sweeter side then to his rough nature.This book gives you insight to Walker Family, and that’s was exiting. Again a good ménage book that’s hot. Nicole Edwards sure know how to write steamy hot books.
I did come upon some areas in the book that left me with questions. When Travis expose who Gage really is, why do he do it. And why is there not a conversation between Kaleb and Gage afterwards? Kaleb must have had some questions for Gage as they are best friends, and he shares Zoey with him.
I also liked that part with Zane and Beau, but I’m a little disappointed that Zane went through with being with Beau as he was curious, but at the same time, he had already decided that it would be a one time thing just for Beau.
I’m looking forward to read more of Travis’ story and how it continues with Beau and who he brings along to the Walker house at the end.

Nothing in the summary description does it mention threesomes or bisexuality, a little heads up would be nice. I like to know what I'm buying PRIOR to buying a book. The book is 50% M/F/M; 25% M/F & 25% M/M ... I agree w/another reviewer, it seems although the Walker boys are hot studs, they're also bisexual.
It's a long book but the story didn't drag so the almost 500 pages were a gift w/enough heat to almost melt my . There's a harsh scene in the very beginning which sets the tone for some of the story. Ironically, the H deals w/the action much better than the h.
My major complaint was Zane was almost too good to be true.... no matter what crap V (the heroine) pushed @ him, he still wanted her & understood. She started off as a strong independent woman but spent much of the story either whiney or pushy..... pushing the H into acts he should have decided upon. In one case after she pushes him, & he considers a repeat, she accuses him of thinking of cheating on her?!?!
Zane was the second book in the Alluring Indulgence series by Nicole Edwards. It was well written, well developed and enjoyable.
We were introduced to Zane Walker, the youngest Walker sibling, in book one, Kaden. He was humorous and fun loving, yet also hot tempered. We've now learned that he was also dominant, controlling and possessive but all in a good way, while also exposing a soft side that was shown only to Vanessa "V" Carmichael.
V was beautiful, sassy, independent and adventurous. She was attracted to Zane, but her history and experience taught her she could never settle down and therefore, would never let anyone close. Zane barreled into her life and never looked back.
Zane and V had combustible chemistry. I loved how Zane was protective and loving towards V. It wasn't his nature with women but it was with V.
The plot started in book one and carried over being fully developed in Zane. Zane defended V against someone who was pressuring her for sex. It turned nasty and in the end, Zane was attacked and almost killed by four men. This is where Zane picks up. Edwards then took us through the healing and recovery for everyone involved, the chase for finding those responsible for almost killing Zane, and the relationship development between Zane and V.
Although I enjoyed the plot, it was slow for me. I felt parts of the book dragged at times. But I did like the development and how Edwards developed V within the story. I also liked the multiple secondary storylines that brought in Beau, Travis, Gage and the continued development of Alluring Indulgence. It brought complexity and dimension to the storyline.
I also loved the creative sex scenes. They were explicit and erotic.
Zane was told in a dual POV but I loved there were one time POV's from secondary characters when it was appropriate. It added depth to the storyline.
There were a couple items of unfinished business, some that obviously set the stage for future stories in the series, and others that are specific to Zane and V that I'm hoping will be answered and further developed in future books as well.
All in all, it was an enjoyable and entertaining read and a great addition to the series. Edwards provided teasers for our next adventure involving the eldest Walker sibling, Travis, and I'm looking forward to it!
