Drawn Thread Work 2nd Series [1920] Thérèse de Dillmont 9781112581403 Books
Therese de Dillmont (10 October 1846 - 22 May 1890) wrote or edited dozens of needlework books and pamphlets for Dolffus Miegs Corporation. They were all originally published prior to 1920 from what I've seen, and consequently have passed into the public domain, though some have been reprinted and are still under copyright. There is a wonderful site called the AntiquePatternLibrary dot org from which one can download PDF files of many of public domain titles. From the description of this book, I can't tell exactly which of de Dillmont's books it is; however, if you don't mind a PDF file instead of a paper copy, I recommend you search online for the Library and see what they have.I grant that I have not bought this particular title, but I have read a number of de Dillmont's books and they have all been a terrific resource for old patterns. I highly recommend them if you are into such things. Be warned that they are NOT written like today's books with multiple pictures of each stitch and step-by-step directions. Old books have one picture of a stitch, usually not beside the instructions, and expect you to be able to read and figure things out for yourself.
